Protect Online Privacy While Traveling with HomiPlay

Turn your home network into your strongest travel companion

Overview

Connecting to public Wi-Fi or hotel networks while traveling abroad often carries security risks. Additionally, many streaming platforms, banking services, and local websites enforce geo-restrictions and block access from foreign locations.

HomiPlay's Home Node and Route to Home Node features transform your home computer or device into an exclusive, private VPN server.

When enabled, all internet traffic from your device abroad is routed through an encrypted tunnel back to your house, accessing the internet via your home IP address. This completely shields your online privacy and seamlessly bypasses geographic restrictions—as if you had never left home!

Setup Steps

Pro only
1

Enable Home Node Mode at Home

Before you travel, enable the "Home Node" mode in the HomiPlay settings on an always-on device at your home (such as a desktop PC).

2

Verify Connection Status

Ensure the designated Home Node device is logged into your HomiPlay account and remains online.

3

Enable Route to Home Node on Your Portable Device

When you need secure internet access abroad, open HomiPlay on your laptop or phone, select your home device as the home node, and activate the "Route to Home Node" feature.

4

Browse Securely

Once connected, all your external network traffic is safely routed through your home network, allowing you to securely use online banking or stream local content.
