Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
This policy applies to the HomiPlay website and explains the cookies, similar technologies, and controls we use. It does not apply to the HomiPlay app.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored in your browser or device. They commonly support website operation, remember choices, and help understand website use.
Cookie Categories
Cookies can be classified by source, function, and duration:
By source
- First-party cookies are set by the HomiPlay website you are visiting and stored under this site's domain.
- Third-party service cookies are generated or managed by external service providers used by this site; related data may also be processed by those providers.
By function
- Strictly necessary cookies save cookie choices, maintain security, or provide website functions you request.
- Functional cookies remember preferences such as language to provide a consistent experience.
- Analytics cookies measure visits and interactions after consent so we can improve website content.
By duration
- Session cookies normally expire when the browser session ends.
- Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry, deletion under browser limits, or manual removal.
Why Do We Use Cookies?
- Remember your cookie choice and website language.
- Protect the contact form and website from automated attacks and abuse.
- After consent, understand website visits and use so we can improve content and experience.
Google Analytics
The Google Analytics tag loads on every page. Analytics storage is denied by default, so GA analytics cookies are not set before consent or after rejection. Google may still receive cookieless measurement signals such as consent status, timestamp, user agent, referrer, and a random value generated on each page load.
Only after you consent may Google Analytics set the first-party cookies listed below and send full measurement data. We do not enable ad storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, or Google Signals.
Which Cookies Do We Use?
| Name | Source | Provider | Duration | Function | Data / Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| homi-cookie-consent | First party | HomiPlay | 1 year | Strictly necessary | Stores the choice to allow or reject analytics cookies. |
| locale | First party | HomiPlay | 1 year | Functional | Remembers the website language. |
| _session | First party | HomiPlay | 2 hours | Strictly necessary | Maintains the website session, language preference, and security features. |
| XSRF-TOKEN | First party | HomiPlay | 2 hours | Strictly necessary | Helps prevent cross-site request forgery and protects forms and website requests. |
| _ga | First party | Google Analytics | Default maximum 2 years, subject to browser limits | Analytics | Distinguishes users after consent. |
| _ga_<container-id> | First party | Google Analytics | Default maximum 2 years, subject to browser limits | Analytics | Persists session state after consent. |
| cf_clearance (depending on security configuration) | First party | Cloudflare | Depends on Cloudflare security settings | Strictly necessary | Proves a visitor passed security verification; set only when a security challenge or Turnstile pre-clearance is enabled. |
Third-Party Services
Google Analytics processes website measurement data under Google's privacy policy. Cloudflare provides hosting, security, and Turnstile verification for the contact form; even when no cookie is set, Turnstile processes network and device signals needed for verification.
How Can You Manage Cookies?
On your first visit, you can accept analytics cookies or choose necessary cookies only. You can later reopen the panel through Cookie Settings in the footer or the button on this page. When analytics consent is withdrawn, we instruct GA to deny analytics storage and delete `_ga` cookies accessible to this site.
Cookie choices are stored in the current browser and device and do not automatically apply elsewhere. You can also delete or block cookies in browser settings, but disabling necessary or functional cookies may affect language, preferences, or security features.
