HomiPlay Privacy Policy

HomiPlay ("we", "us") is operated by Chuan Chih. HomiPlay is a peer-to-peer (P2P) VPN app that lets you securely reach your own home network from your own devices. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.
1. Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to operate the service:
- Email address — to create and authenticate your account.
- Password — stored in encrypted form, used only to authenticate you.
- Subscription / purchase data — the App Store / Google Play transaction identifier, used to verify your subscription entitlement.
- Device identifier — a randomly generated per-install identifier used to register your device within your own private network so your devices can find each other.
We do not collect your name, address, contacts, photos, location, or browsing history.
2. VPN Traffic
HomiPlay routes network traffic peer-to-peer, directly between your own devices. We do not inspect, log, record, sell, or store the contents of your VPN traffic or your browsing activity.
3. How Data Is Used and Transmitted
- Email and password are transmitted to our backend server over encrypted HTTPS only to authenticate your account.
- The purchase identifier is transmitted to our backend over HTTPS only to validate your subscription.
- The device identifier is used to establish the P2P connection between your own devices.
All data is used solely to provide the HomiPlay service. Our servers are located in Taiwan.
4. No Advertising, No Analytics, No Tracking
HomiPlay contains no advertising, no ad-targeting, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use beacons, tags, or tracking scripts. No data is collected for advertising or analytics purposes.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with any third-party entities. Your data is used only to operate your own private network and your subscription. Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies.
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time directly in the app: open the account menu and choose Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your account and its associated data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
7. Children's Privacy
HomiPlay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
